Quality Care is at Our Core

We provide individualized ABA that helps children build meaningful skills, greater independence, and fuller participation with the people, places, and activities that matter most.

Our Approach

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based science of learning and behavior. At ATLBA, we use ABA to help children build meaningful skills, increase independence, and improve quality of life. Every treatment plan is individualized, guided by the best available evidence, ongoing assessment, and the goals and values of each child and family.

We believe the most meaningful progress happens when families and clinicians work together. By setting collaborative goals and continually monitoring progress, we ensure therapy remains responsive to your child's growth and changing needs.

Our expertise in ABA includes:

  • Building communication skills so your child can express their wants, needs, and ideas.

  • Supporting social development to foster meaningful relationships and participation with others.

  • Developing daily living skills that promote greater independence at home, school, and in the community.

  • Addressing behaviors that interfere with learning, safety, or quality of life while teaching effective skills that support long-term success.

Our Story

Allgood & Tehrani LBA was founded by Alicia Allgood and Kimia Tehrani with a shared belief that every child deserves individualized, compassionate, and evidence-based care. What began in 2013 as a small social skills program quickly grew through referrals from families and trusted professionals who valued our collaborative approach and commitment to meaningful outcomes.

As the practice expanded, so did the services we offered. Today, we provide individualized ABA services for children and families across New York City, while remaining grounded in the values that shaped us from the very beginning: listening first, building trusting relationships, and tailoring care to the unique strengths, goals, and needs of every child.

We continue to grow primarily through the trust of the families we serve and the referrals of fellow professionals—a reflection of the relationships that remain at the heart of our practice.
